NEW Tours from Las Vegas – DAM BRIDGE, Grand Canyon & More!
Las Vegas, Nv - Two guys named Jeff are pursuing the American Dream in a big way – Las Vegas style. Jeff Haflett and Jeff Slade were tour guides based in Phoenix, Arizona and decided they could start their own company and do it their way. On Sept. 10, 2001 they were approved for loans to finance two vans for their touring company named DETOURS. The first van was purchased on Sept. 13. "When we bought the first van, there was not a plane in the sky," says Slade. “We had confidence that creating a company that offers truly personal service with the best guides and best touring vehicles would be the formula for success”. It appears they were right – they have experienced double digit growth every year since that very nerve racking start and they are now expanding to Las Vegas.
The DETOURS formula for success includes unique touring vehicles custom outfitted with Captain Chair seating and relationships with the finest hotels and resorts in Phoenix and Scottsdale. Since Detours' inception, Slade and Haflett have relied heavily on partners such as the Phoenix & Scottsdale Convention and Visitors Bureaus, hotel and resort concierge services at hotels like the Fairmont Scottsdale and the Four Seasons, meeting planners, and travel writers for word-of-mouth advertising. Their over-the-top customer ratings which include high praise on Trip Advisor tell the story.
DETOURS has a very strong working relationship with Las Vegas based Maverick Helicopter which shares their philosophy of providing superior service with the finest tour equipment and a highly trained staff. DETOURS will feature helicopter flights at the Grand Canyon West Rim and South Rim on their daily tour schedules. Their tour offerings include single day and multiday itineraries throughout the Southwest. DETOURS also offers a very personalized level of service – DETOURS Platinum with customized itineraries for parties of 6 or less in luxury SUVs!
Jeff Haflett is on the ground in Las Vegas to establish the new Nevada headquarters on Cavaretta just blocks off the Strip. “It is exciting to join the tourism community of the most recognized destination in the west. We have custom designed our touring vehicles for our Las Vegas itineraries with extended leg room, wrapped them in amazing photo images, and our big big windows let everybody see where they are going and where they’ve been”.
DETOURS can be found online at www.detoursnv.com and the Las Vegas staff is available at 702-458-0000.
